Quizzes, Assignments & Passion of the Christ

After many lack-of-sleep nights, finally, ALL my linguistics quiz n assignment and Italian quiz for this week is OVER!!! Whew~ what a relief. This week had been a reality check for me i guess. A reminder, that we're here to study and not just travel around!!! Mid-terms are around the corner, it's time to head for the books. Sighs.. I seriously wished i had come to UBC next term instead. Why isn't there a mid-term break for the Winter term?!! Arghh... So not fun.

Last night: my table being covered with the huge italian textbook, my notebook and my laptop showing the online italian dictionary. haha..

Italian verbs - not as hard as German's but still as confusing. lol..

Norven's sweets to keep me awake thru the long nights.. =D

Today: after italian quiz, i lunched alone on the patio above SUB.
Reading the papers, eating piping hot veggie burrito, watching the rain.. nice combo! =)

The italian list of 81 'green' vocabs tht i had to memorise n pass up today.
Got it back after the quiz and turns out i got a " V+ "!
I dunno wat "V" means.. but i was the only one with a "+" sign.
Should be good news rite?! hehe.. At least my efforts weren't in vain. =P

Anyways, after walking home in the rain, i decided i should watch a movie accompanied by a nice cuppa hot choc to reward myself. haha.. And so i open my folder of movies on my external hard disk and scanned for a movie to watch. Suddenly, i spotted The Passion of the Christ among the collection of comical or nonsensical movies. I thought, it's time i watch this widely acclaimed yet strongly criticised movie. I know i'm like soooo outdated to watch this only now. Even those non-Christians must have watched this a dozens times more than me. But it's never too late rite? haha..

In the beginning, I felt that the movie was weirdly creepy and foreboding. Can't really describe it. And with the movie being in Aramaic, Latin and Hebrew, it really created a whole foreign feeling. Then it started to get emotional and till a point gruesome. Out of the 126 mins in total, almost 99 mins were graphical detailed scenes of the torture and death of Jesus. The scenes were so real, so horrifying and so intense that i was weeping my eyes out! Seriously... Luckily my room door was locked and joeyin was watching another movie in her room. haha.. But after watching this movie, i must say that Mel Gibson truly did an amazing job in sending out the message. Though many have been criticising him and his work.. the important thing is that it all boils down to a message of love, hope, faith, and forgiveness. With the world being in such a huge mess right now, we could all use a little more love, faith, hope, and forgiveness. So go spread some love u guys! Love should be in the air!! =D

Jim Caviezel was practically covered in blood and seeing only through his left eye 95% of the movie. Just wanted to say, his eyes are HOT!! lols.. =P

Oh wells, it's time to watch another movie! Must enjoy this weekend before more mid-terms n presentation take over my days and nights in the coming weeks... HAHA! Ciao!!
